CLIENT BRIEF
LNER approached us to deliver their annual Legends Awards with an extra layer of significance: the event marked the company’s 100th anniversary. The brief required us to find a venue within walking distance of a major train station along the LNER route and to create a celebration that would feel authentically LNER while honouring their historic milestone in a memorable, on-brand way.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
“We sourced the Discovery Museum in Newcastle—a Grade II listed building steeped in heritage and ideally located for rail travel. To bring the centenary celebration to life, we designed a bespoke 1920s vintage train carriage theme, reflecting LNER’s proud legacy. Guests arrived via a red carpet and were welcomed with a drinks reception set against projected imagery of LNER colleagues, trains and stations past and present.
In the Great Hall, a dramatic champagne coupe tower, vintage Tiffany-style table lamps, and rich art-deco design set the tone. Our creative team developed a custom event identity that was seamlessly applied across all digital and printed assets—from brochures and table plans to place settings and signage. A velvet-draped stage and vintage train carriage photo booth added immersive touches, and guests enjoyed a three-course meal followed by live music from The Kings Band.”
